I’m excited today to be discussing these famous Texas Roadhouse rolls. If you have ever been to Texas Roadhouse and tried their soft and fluffy bread rolls for yourself, you’ll get my excitement. If you have, then you will know why everyone goes crazy for their heartwarming taste. If you haven’t, then it’s about time to recreate those flavors at home with our Texas Roadhouse rolls copycat recipe.

Bread rolls are not difficult to bake when you use the best ingredients in a perfect proportion. Similarly, those Texas rolls are also baked with few basic ingredients; it is the handling of the dough that makes a bread roll soft and moist.

How To Make Texas Roadhouse Rolls

To make these rolls, you must have yeast, milk, eggs, honey, butter, flour, and kosher salt. Honey infuses a very mild sweet taste in the dough that makes Texas rolls different in taste. Thankfully all these ingredients are mostly available at home, so you don’t need to go out and buy something new. In this recipe, all the ingredients are combined in a mixing bowl using an electric mixer. It sure does make a smooth dough. But if you don’t have an electric mixer, you can also use a hand mixer while following the recipe.

I still remember when I first tried the Texas Roadhouse rolls, and I was amazed by its soft and fluffy texture. It was worth all the wait and anticipation. The moment I had a bite of the rolls, I knew I had to bake them at home and give the taste of it to my friends and family. So, I looked for its copycat recipe for days and finely got my hand on this one. At first, I was skeptical, but when I give it a try, it turned out to be amazing.

Add Ons for The Bread Rolls

These Texas rolls are so soft and delicious that they can be served with all the entrees or with your morning breakfast. These rolls are a good replacement for ordinary bread.

However, you can customize the flavor of these rolls by adding some other ingredients, like sesame seeds, on top of the bread rolls. For this take about 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds, if you want to add them directly, then do not toast them, else you can toast them in a skillet first until they turn brown. Transfer these sesame seeds to a small bowl and keep them ready.

When the dough rolls are placed in the baking sheets, this is the point when you can drizzle sesame seeds on top of the rolls and then cover them to leave for 45 minutes.  When the dough rolls have raised the sesame, seeds are nicely ingrained in the dough. Now bake those rolls to enjoy with an authentic sesame aroma.

You can also give these rolls are garlicky flavor by using a little secret technique. The butter that is brushed on top of the rolls can be infused with garlic flavor. Melt this butter in a skillet first and add 2-3 garlic cloves. Sauté these cloves for 3 minutes until garlic turns golden brown in color. Then remove the garlic from the butter and allow it to cool down. Now use this butter to brush your freshly baked Texas rolls.
