My story

I’ve been cooking for more than 20 years, both professionally as a chef and at home for my family. After my two kids were born, I chose to work from home full time. That gave me more time with them, and the chance to build something around the thing I love most: cooking.

Recipe Fairy began when I brought my Nutrition degree and my kitchen experience together in one place. It started as a small, quiet project. Today it’s a community of home cooks, with more than 11,000 followers on Facebook and a Pinterest audience that grows every day.

The goal is simple: recipes that work the first time, with no guesswork and no wasted ingredients.

You’ll find everyday dinners, baking, drinks and, above all, copycat versions of restaurant favorites, written with exact amounts, step-by-step photos and the little details that make the difference.

How every recipe is made

  1. Study the original

Every copycat starts with the dish itself: how it looks, tastes and is described, so the home version aims at the right target.

  2. Build it for a home kitchen

Everyday ingredients, standard pans and exact amounts in cups, ounces and grams, with no restaurant equipment needed.

  3. Write clear steps

Step-by-step instructions with photos, times, visual cues and a printable recipe card, so nothing is left to guesswork.

  4. Check food safety

Doneness temperatures follow USDA guidance (chicken 165°F, ground beef 160°F) and storage advice stays conservative.

  5. Listen and update

Reader questions and corrections lead to real fixes. Updated recipes show the date they were last revised.

Our editorial standards

Honest copycats

Recipes are homemade versions inspired by restaurant dishes. Recipe Fairy is not affiliated with the brands named, and the recipes are never presented as official or "secret" formulas.

Nutrition-minded

With an MSc in Nutrition behind the site, calorie counts are estimates per serving and nutrition notes stay factual, with no medical claims.

Food safety first

Safe internal temperatures, the 2-hour rule for perishable food and sensible storage times are built into the recipes, not tucked away.

Corrections welcome
