How to Make Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe

You might be a regular guest of Texas Roadhouse and enjoy their cinnamon butter at every occasion, but wouldn’t it be better if you could just make your own Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter in your own home? This way, you can have fresh cinnamon butter whenever you want and enjoy it with your family.

All you need is five common ingredients and five minutes, and your cinnamon butter is ready. The ingredients you need to prepare it are cinnamon, butter, honey, salt, and powdered sugar.

There are many variations of this recipe, which is vegetarian and gluten-free, but we believe the one we’re presenting here is the most delicious one.

For example, some people make it without the powdered sugar, but this ingredient is what gives the butter its unique texture and taste. So for us, powdered sugar is an equally important ingredient as the other ingredients in the recipe.

Others use additional honey as a sugar substitute, so it’s really up to your taste. So, if you want to reduce your sugar intake or you just prefer less sweet cinnamon butter, replace powdered sugar with ¼ cup honey.

Also, you can use vegan margarine instead of butter to make it dairy-free. If you want a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey and vegan margarine instead of butter. However, expect your cinnamon butter to have a characteristic maple flavor.

One of the secrets to making the perfect Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter is allowing the butter to soften to room temperature for at least an hour. Otherwise, it won’t combine well with the other ingredients. Never use a microwave to soften the butter as this will interfere with the consistency.

Also, it’s really important to use high-quality butter such as Grade AA butter, if you want to get nice creamy and smooth cinnamon butter.

Nothing beats spreading this copycat Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter on rolls or bread. It’s simply devine and worth the short time it takes to make this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. 1 ground cinnamon

  • ½ cup butter, unsalted

  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

  • ¼ cup honey, liquid

  • A pinch of salt

Directions

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Put the butter, powdered sugar, butter and cinnamon in a medium bowl and beat until smooth using a hand mixer. You can also use a standing mixer with the paddle attachment for less splattering. Don’t mix the ingredient by hand as you won’t get the smooth consistency you want.
  • Add a pinch of salt and continue beating until everything is mixed well.
  • Try a bit of the mixture, and see if you need to add more cinnamon, honey, or salt. It depends on your taste.
  • Serve with any baked good, bread, or whatever you like and enjoy.

Ingredients Required

Here are the ingredients you need to make 16 tablespoons of Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter:

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon – use high-quality cinnamon for a better taste
  • ½ cup butter, unsalted – make sure you use high-quality butter softened at room temperature. To make the butter vegan and dairy-free, use vegan butter. If you use unsalted butter and you prefer a saltier taste, increase the amount of salt in the recipe.
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar – this ingredient gives the necessary volume of the butter and keeps the ingredients together. If you are watching on your sugar intake, you can use ¼ cup honey instead of sugar. This, however, will affect the taste and texture of the cinnamon butter.
  • ¼ cup honey, liquid – you can use maple syrup instead, which will affect the taste of the end product.
  • A pinch of salt – if you use table salt instead of sea salt, use less.

What to Serve with Cinnamon Butter?

You can slather this mouth-watering cinnamon butter on pancakes, banana bread, waffles, pretzel bread, dinner rolls, muffins, cornbread, French toast, cinnamon raisin bread, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, mixed vegetables, etc. The list is basically endless.

How to Store Cinnamon Butter?

Store your Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. You can store it in the fridge for longer if you’re using hard margarine, but in that case, it should be refrigerated to extend its life.

If you think you won’t eat it in three days, you can refrigerate it for one month, or freeze it to make it last for up to six months. This won’t affect the taste or quality of the butter, as long as you let it come to room temperature before consuming.

Also, don’t microwave it as this can make the ingredients separate and result in a soupy mess.

Conclusion

With this recipe, you can now make your own Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter and enjoy it any day you wish with your family. You can combine it with different breads, baked goods, pancakes, French toast, bagels, muffins, etc. All you need is five ingredients and not more than five minutes. If you store it properly, it can last for days and even months.

This recipe is so easy to make and the whole family loves it! I will definitely save it and be making it again! Only one thing… I’ll have to make bread more often with this around!

  5. This is good. I thought there was too much honey so I added another 1/4 of butter to reduce the honey taste. I also found that whipping the butter first then adding the other ingredients made this a more whipped like texture. Yummy recipe!
